Lepo Fry (Sole Fish Fry)

A famous Goan Seafood appetizer! In the Lepo Fry Recipe the delicate flavor of the fish is enhanced well with the spices that it is marinated. And then fried with a thin layer of semolina which gives the fish a crunch. This dish is best enjoyed with the Goan Fish Curry Rice.

Ingredients:

  • Lepo -200gms
  • Turmeric powder-½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Semolina-3tbsp

Preparation:

  • Clean the lepo by removing the skin and chopping the head
  • Wash and apply salt and turmeric powder
  • Coat it with semolina on both the sides
  • In a pan, add oil and shallow fry them on both the sides.
  • Serve hot with Goan rice and curry.
